Rates: Our rates are based on three primary factors: word count, technical degree, and writing quality of the source to be translated. A personal letter or conversation between two people would be quoted at our base rate of 10.5 cents (USD) per word with that rate incrementing based on the technical level of the document to be translated. Special formatting requests, rush delivery, and poor grammar or low quality of writing in the source would be other factors that could increase the rate, but a formal quote cannot be provided until we review the entire work that needs translation.
Procedures & Payment: Jabel is based in the United States, but over 60% of our work is done for entities in other countries. In order to expedite payment in all major currencies as quickly as possible, we invoice our customers using PayPal. PayPal also provides the most secure method of payment for both parties since we never see your financial information, and you have the option to pay by credit card or direct withdrawal from your bank account. Once a formal quote is provided and agreed upon by the customer, Jabel will produce an invoice via PayPal, and translation will begin upon confirmation of payment.
